Biography

I believe great makeup is created from building rapport and understanding to create something truly special and individual for the occasion, purpose and person involved.

Whilst studying Graphic Design and Advertising I began to find myself restricted in the ability to express my artistic ideas, and it was from here that I began my fascination and passion for make-up artistry. From there I went on to study at The Media Make-up Academy gaining a credited certificate in Entertainment Make-up and Live Production.

Through my freelance career I have worked extensively through the commercial fields with my successful career leading me to work on various projects including:

The Killer Elite starring Robert De Niro, Jason Statham and Clive Owen

Red Dog starring Rachel Taylor and Josh Lucas

Cheech and Chong Live Theatre Production ‘Light up Australia Tour,’ as Shelby Chong’s Makeup Artist

During my freelance career I also worked for MAC Cosmetics, including managing their flagship store in Brisbane for a year and partaking in many fashion shows and PR work. I was also selected to be in the MAC Australian Body Painting Team which enabled me to work on the body painting event ‘Make-up Art Cosmetics’ media launch at the Arts Factory in Sydney, with only 4 of these events being held in the world.

I am very business savvy having owned my own successful business for 5 years. This has taught me to understand that time is money, the importance of sticking to budgets and hard work in general.  I pride myself on attention to detail, being “on the ball’, my professionalism and having outstanding communication skills.

I believe in delivering the highest of standards and creating something truly spectacular for my clients.
